KOA's "Gunny" Bob repeated concern that "crushing tyranny of the left" could "lead to legal human-animal marriage"

Discussing the California Supreme Court's recent decision invalidating a state statute banning same-sex marriage, Newsradio 850 KOA's "Gunny" Bob Newman on May 15 asserted that "under the crushing tyranny of the left, America will legalize gay marriage at the federal level" and that "[s]ome Americans fear that this will lead to legal human-animal marriage." Newman similarly warned of "[l]egal polygamy" and "[l]egal marriages between [parents] and their offspring."

As Colorado Media Matters has noted, Newman voiced some of these same concerns in a 2006 broadcast, stating, "If the liberals seize control of the House, the Senate, the Congress, the White House -- and if the Supreme Court tips further to the left -- this nation will see gay marriage, soon to be followed by legalized polygamy and possibly human/fur-bearing-mammal marriages."

From the May 15 broadcast of Newsradio 850 KOA's The Jon Caldara Show, with guest host "Gunny" Bob Newman:

NEWMAN: A vision of the left's new America was supported today by the California Supreme Court, which struck down a state statute that said marriage is between one man and one woman, thus legalizing gay marriage in the left-coast state of "Mexifornia." Massachusetts was the first state to allow this abomination, this outright attack on the sanctity of marriage. And I warned then that this disease would spread. Now I warn you again that it will now spread to Colorado and other liberal states. And then, under the crushing tyranny of the left, America will legalize gay marriage at the federal level -- or at a minimum recognize gay marriage in states with such laws. Some Americans fear that this will lead to legal human-animal marriage. Legal polygamy. Legal marriages between fathers and their offspring, and mothers and their offspring. Some Americans fear this. When the maniacs get a ballot initiative to legalize gay marriage in Colorado, how will you vote, and why? We will see such an attempt within two years.
