KOA's "Gunny" Bob: If they "run out of seals," polar bears will "just eat some Eskimos"

In criticizing "liberals" for "wailing that the polar bears must be placed on the endangered species list," "Gunny" Bob Newman on his January 23 Newsradio 850 KOA broadcast singled out an ethnic group as a potential source of sustenance for the animals, stating, "Let me tell you, if those polar bears run out of seals, they'll just eat some Eskimos, and there's plenty of 'em up there."

NEWMAN: Truth be told, one of the things that entertains me the most is how morose liberals are, always desperately searching for any smidgen of bad news they can contort into global disaster. Like those polar bears! The liberals are wailing that the polar bears must be placed on the endangered species list -- even though there are around three times the number of polar bears now than in the 1970s! Do you lie awake at night worrying about whether the polar bears are going to be able to catch a seal today? Let me tell you, if those polar bears run out of seals, they'll just eat some Eskimos, and there's plenty of 'em up there.
